Scope
This wizard “add wireless device with WPS” is designed to assist you in connecting your wireless device to your router. It will guide you through step-by-step instructions on how to get your wireless device connected.
A PIN is a unique number that can be used to add router to an existing wireless network or to create a new wireless network. A PBC is Push Button Configuration, it is the same method with PIN, allow user to add wireless device to their wireless network.

Test Procedure:
Please follow up figure as above to setup your test environment.
Auto \ PIN
1. Launch the “Add Wireless Device with WPS” from the DUT WebUI.

2. Launch the Atheros Jumpstart application at the PC 2. Make sure the wireless adapter supports the Wi-Fi Protected Setup.
3. Select “Join a wireless network”, and click Next button.

4. Select “Enter a PIN into my access point or a registrar”, the Atheros Jumpstart application will generate a PIN number. Click Next button.

5. Select “Auto” then select “PIN” from the DUT WebUI.
Enter this PIN number into the DUT WebUI. Click Connect button from the DUT WebUI.


6. The Atheros Jumpstart application is searching the DUT via the “PIN number” method.

7. The Atheros Jumpstart application shows a “Wireless configuration successfully done” window.

Auto \ PBC
1. Launch the “Add Wireless Device with WPS” from the DUT WebUI.

2. Launch the Atheros Jumpstart application at the PC that has a wireless adapter. Make sure the wireless adapter supports the Wi-Fi Protected Setup.
3. Select “Join a wireless network”, and click Next button.

4. Select “Auto” then select “PBC” from the DUT WebUI. Click Connect button.


5. Select “Push the button on my access point”, Click Next button.

6. The Atheros Jumpstart application is searching the DUT via the “PBC” method.

7. The Atheros Jumpstart application shows a “Wireless configuration successfully done” window.

Manual
1. Set the DUT wireless security mode to None security.
2. Select “Manual” from the DUT WebUI. Click Next button.
3. Configure the wireless adapter manually via the information on the DUT WebUI.
4. Connect to the DUT via wireless connection.
5. Configure the DUT wireless security mode as below, then repeat step 2 to 4.
a. WEP.
b. WPA / WPA2 Personal.
c. WPA / WPA2 Enterprise.
Test Item:
Auto \ PIN
1. Make sure DUT WebUI can check the “Wireless Device PIN” field.
2. Try to ping the Internet host / DUT IP, or surf the DUT WebUI / Internet website.
3. Click the “Wireless Status” button from the WebUI.
Check the Wireless Status page.
Auto \ PBC
1. Try to ping the Internet host / DUT IP, or surf the DUT WebUI / Internet website.
2. Click the “Wireless Status” button from the WebUI.
Check the Wireless Status page.
Manual
1. Make sure the DUT WebUI can show correct security settings as below.
a. None security.
b. WEP Open / Shared Key, WEP Key list, which key is used.
c. WPA Personal / WPA2 Personal, Cipher Type, Pre-shared Key.
d. WPA Enterprise / WPA2 Enterprise, Cipher Type.
